The Venue

Accessible to half of the world’s population within a five-hour flight, Abu Dhabi’s busy event calendar is testament to its well-established position as a preferred year-round venue for all kinds of technological, cultural, sporting and social events.

Welcoming nearly 100,000 energy delegates every year, Abu Dhabi is already home to some of the most important events on the global energy agenda. This includes the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) that ranks among the top three oil and gas events globally, and the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) that is held under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and is regarded as one of the world’s most influential gatherings in the new-energy sector.

Backed by a proven track record Abu Dhabi offers a modern, versatile infrastructure for hosting world-class events. The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) promises a memorable visitor experience and is one of the region’s most highly awarded event venues.

ADNEC’s sheer size and versatility allows the World Energy Congress’ convention centre as well as the delegates’ accommodation to be hosted at one central location. This removes the need for daily commutes and greatly enhances the Congress’ productivity.

Four large hotels are hosted directly on-site at ADNEC. These range from resplendent five-star luxury brands to budget-friendly hotel apartments, and will comfortably accommodate all of the Congress’ delegates. However, if needed, ADNEC’s central location also provides convenient access to nearly 30,000 hotel rooms across Abu Dhabi.

ADNEC is also within easy driving distance of neighbouring Dubai’s two international airports, as well the Abu Dhabi International Airport that welcomed 4.5 million passengers in the first quarter of 2014 and is one of the world’s fastest growing airports.
